Robot Hand
This project (based off this tutorial) was a part of a independent study at NYU, the topic being embodiment via design and modern technology.
The hand itself is 3D printed, controlled by servo motors and a glove with flex sensors sewn into it. As the sensors bend, they send input to the Arduino, which then sends output to the motors. As the motors rotate, the filament running through the hand acts as a pulley system and the fingers are pulled accordingly, mimicking the behavior of the human hand inside the glove. The system is powered by a 7.2 voltage battery.
